What is Entertaiment?

Entertaiment is the activity of amusing, diverting, or entertaining people. It can take many forms such as watching movies or television, playing games, sports, recreational activities, social gatherings, music, reading books, and appreciating visual art. It provides an escape or diversion from everyday life, and may serve a social, cultural, or religious purpose. Entertainment can be of a large or small scale, from an individual choice of pre-recorded entertainment to banquets and performances intended for thousands. It can also be a part of a ceremony, celebration, religious festival, or satire.

Entertaiment often hits themes that the brain was evolved to understand, like backstabbing and murders in the social world. These themes stimulate the brain to release seratonin and other feel good chemicals.
